Bicycle, Bicycle

… I want to ride my Bicycle, I want to ride my bike.

and I do. I love riding it. Though it appears I have been a bit stupid and left my ASthema pump behind on the sofa. This should be fine if I can cope with the tightening of my airways and NOT panic. The problem is that it’s a natural reaction when you can’t breath, and the panic, the adrenaline, only makes the symptoms worse. The annoying thing is that a quick squirt from that pump and I would be fine, instead, I’m going to try to fight myself down. Should take about 30 mins….

Or DS is going to have to bring me the pump, or pick me up from the hospital down the road 🙂

    Dear SK,
I read this post thinking that you had some special equipment that you always need – which is true, but it wasn’t that kind of pump I was envisaging, and I wondered why forgetting your bicycle pump would make you panicky and short of breath. But I finally twigged.
You poor old sausage. I am hoping to be cycling round well into my 80’s, and when I lived in Sydney I was often passed on the way to work by a one legged man, which of course made me think that I am never really going to have an adequate excuse not to ride my bike. I rode until I was 9 months pregnant both times, but tearing the cartilage in my knee did put me out of action for a while, still, never give up!
