The Local Liberal Democrat Website

I was browsing the book of face as a friend of mine is want to call it, and came across an advert by our local Liberal Democrat Candidate. So surprised was I to find it, that I went looking for the advert. Then I clicked on it and followed it to the website.

What I found was a bit surprising.

Okay, so it’s not going to win any design awards. It was probably written in DreamWeaver by someone part-time.

That, however, is not the point. It’s actually there. All the information you could want, right there where you can find it.

I even took the time to read their manifesto. It was in English! I mean, plain and simple speak that I could actually understand. Not reams and reams of points. Admitedly, I’ve not done the usual compare and contrast against other parties, so it is possible that the Lib Dems are not the only ones with an easy-to-read manifesto.

As usual, they appear to have their heads screwed on the right way. I guess it’s because they can say these things knowing that they are unlikely to get it. I say that we give them the shock of their lives and Vote Lib Dem. Let’s not take the atitude that we’re voting for Labor because we’re scared of the Conservatives. Lets show Labor that we are frankly sick of their lies. Lets tell the Conservatives that we are not all rolling in money. Lets give the Liberal Democrats a go. We’ve tried everything else, and whether they are good or bad, the country is going to win. Simply by getting in they are going to force Labor and Conservative to re-think how they are going to do things.

You never know. They just might live up to their promises.
