I would like to appologise to the few readers I have (all two of you) about the unexpected (and excessive) downtime. It appears that an upgrade overwrote the config files, thus stopping WordPress ( the blogging software I’m using) from being able to conenct to the database. This (as you can see) has now been fixed. Hopefully it won’t happen again!
