An interesting site. Those of you that regularly read this blog (which I think amounts to my mum =) ), will note that I’m generally open minded. This site, however, is a direct oposite for all the things I’ve ranted about Fundies. Indeed, most of the articles on this site managed to annoy both me, and the writer of “Random Blatherings”.

As much as they do spend a lot of time covering what the bible has wrong, like the “flat earth” idea, they also miss the fact that even though now we have proven it wrong, for a LONG time it was accepted fact amoungst most of the populace. They also have some worrying articles like “how to raise children as an Atheist”, which doesn’t actually appear to contain any useful advice, like “Talk to your Children”, or “Discuss it openly”, but more “avoid the evil influence”, which is precisely the kind of thing they say is wrong with the Christian “Fundies”.

I suppose any kind of extreeme attitude is going to provoke this response, and the reason is the amount of “evil” that Religion is seen to have been done to the world. This site, like many of it’s “christian” based contemporaries is based in America.

America, or more precisely, George Bush and his administration, has a lot to answer for.
